Jacob P. Spear is an associate attorney with Sturgul & Long, S.C. where he practices primarily in the area of estate planning, nursing home planning, and Medicaid planning. As part of these general asset protection planning areas, Mr. Spear also deals in particular with succession planning for businesses and protecting real estate (including camps and farms). Mr. Spear received his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Michigan Technological University and his juris doctor, magna cum laude, from the Michigan State University College of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Jake and his wife Taylor live in Republic, Michigan with their son Hendrick. In his free time, Jake enjoys spending time with his family, gardening, and is a season ticket holder for Michigan Tech hockey. He also serves as the President of the Marquette County Bar Association and Vice Chairman of the Republic Township Recreation Committee.
