Paul PicturePaul A. Sturgul is an attorney with Sturgul & Long where he primarily practices in the area of elder law. His elder law practice includes planning for long-term-care, Medicaid and Medicare, guardianship and guardianship avoidance, as well as estate planning and administration. He is certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation and has previously served as its president. He has also served as president of the elder law sections for both the Wisconsin and Michigan State Bars. Mr. Sturgul is licensed to practice law in Wisconsin and Michigan.

Mr. Sturgul is a Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, having previously served on its board of directors. He has served as a congressional delegate to the White House Conference on Aging.  Additionally, Mr. Sturgul has given elder law presentations throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. He is a regular guest on Channel 13, WNMU – PBS, in Marquette, Michigan on elder law issues. He has also been listed as a Wisconsin Super Lawyer since its inception in 2005, and is currently listed in the Best Lawyers of America.  Mr. Sturgul enjoys a professional life that includes private practice, advocacy, public speaking, teaching, research, and writing.
