Jennifer Rye, LBSW, is a Medicaid paralegal with Sturgul & Long, S.C.  She is a licensed social worker in both Michigan and Wisconsin.  At Sturgul & Long, S.C., Mrs. Rye assists clients with Medicaid eligibility, prepares and files Medicaid applications from start to finish, coordinates benefits of all kinds, finds placement for clients in long-term care settings, and generally helps families navigate the complex long-term care process.

Mrs. Rye is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Superior where she earned her bachelor’s degree in social work. Prior to her employment with Sturgul and Long, S.C., Jennifer worked for Upper Peninsula Commission for Area Progress (UPCAP) as a case manager and eligibility specialist, Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center and Sky View Nursing Center as the Director of Social Services, and Regional Hospice Services as a social worker. She has focused the past 27 years of her career in the field of geriatrics and has acquired an immeasurable amount of knowledge regarding state and federal programs as well as the eligibility requirements for those programs. Because of her diverse background working in the medical field, she has a very good understanding of the complex dynamics that surround our most vulnerable adults.

Jen and her husband have raised their family in beautiful Iron County and spend their leisure time enjoying all the Northwoods has to offer.
