Biography

Kimberly A. B. Long is a legal assistant with Sturgul & Long, S.C. 

Mrs. Long received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, summa cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2009.  She worked as an elementary school teacher for eleven years prior to joining Sturgul & Long, S.C. in the fall of 2020.  Having experience as a teacher has served her well in her role as legal assistant as she enjoys organization, proofreading, and helping clients navigate probate administration, trust administration, and trust funding in easy-to-follow steps.

At Sturgul & Long, S.C., Mrs. Long assists Attorney Ryan Long with a little bit of everything, including:

  • Drafting documents related to the probate and trust administration process;
  • Assisting personal representatives and trustees from the beginning to the end;
  • Preparing Wisconsin deeds, transfer returns, and the electronic recording of deeds;
  • Assisting clients with retitling their assets;
  • Preparing various documents related to estate planning and elder law;
  • Assisting with the process of establishing a Wispact Trust;
  • Proofreading documents prior to document signings;
  • Handling accounts payable and receivable; and
  • Running payroll.

Kim and her husband, Ryan, live in Ashland, Wisconsin with their twin children, Luke and Elizabeth.  In her free time, Kim enjoys biking, skiing, golfing, sewing, and a good cup of coffee.
